Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to own how Scaffold fits each customer’s business, from early sales conversations through discovery, solution design, and a clean handoff to implementation. This is a multifaceted role requiring strong technical judgment, excellent communication, and a consultative mindset. You will be the technical voice of Scaffold in pre-sale and discovery, shaping realistic integration and workflow strategies so implementation teams can deliver quickly and customers see value on day one.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with sales and customer stakeholders during pre-sale to assess fit, scope integrations, and set realistic expectations for timelines and outcomes.
• Lead discovery workshops to map contractor workflows, homebuilder systems and processes, and ERP data flows into Scaffold-ready solution designs.
• Design end-to-end implementation approaches: integration architecture, data mapping, workflow configuration, and phased rollout plans.
• Produce clear solution artifacts (requirements, integration specs, success criteria, and risk/mitigation notes) for handoff to Implementation Engineering.
• Collaborate with product and engineering on feasibility, roadmap gaps, and reusable patterns that improve future deployments.
• Translate customer needs into structured product feedback and prioritization inputs.
• Develop solution playbooks, reference architectures, and discovery templates that scale across customers.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor from first call through kickoff; stay involved through early adoption to validate the design holds in production.
• Coach implementation teams on complex accounts and act as escalation point for architectural decisions during delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 4+ years in solutions architecture, solutions consulting, technical presales, or enterprise SaaS implementation. Experience designing integrations and workflows for operational/business systems strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong Python and SQL proficiency. Deep familiarity with APIs, integrations, ETL/data flows, and how ERPs and third-party platforms exchange data. Ability to evaluate technical fit without writing every line of production code.
• Solution Design: Proven ability to turn ambiguous business requirements into actionable implementation plans, with clear scope, dependencies, and handoff documentation.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; comfortable presenting to executives, IT, and operations teams. Can explain tradeoffs and recommend pragmatic paths.
• People Skills: Empathy, curiosity, and a customer-first mindset. Skilled at facilitating discovery and aligning diverse stakeholders.
